Round 2032 Game 1 Victory for Peña\n and Las Vegas
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos moved to within one game of the Round 2033 today, downing the visiting Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at The Strip by a score of 3-2. Flamingos left-hander Luis Peña was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Flamingos a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2032.
Kunimichi Chikafuji aided the Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3.
"Things aren't going great right now," Northern Virginia manager David Lister said. "But you don't need me to tell you that."
Game 4 is scheduled for tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are António Alomar for Northern Virginia and Art Adams for Las Vegas.
