Loo Liu made an impact in the 5-1 Athletic Club KC win over Yellowknife. Liu, who is tied for 8th in the SA in stolen bases with 18, went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Athletic Club KC reliever Roberto Martínez was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Carl MacPherson took the loss. Athletic Club KC is now 33-58, while Yellowknife is 39-52.
With Athletic Club KC leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Liu hit a fastball from Carl MacPherson for a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the U-21 ahead, 3-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Yellowknife manager .
