Hot Start Continues for Chiefs

Connetquot Chiefs starter Edgar Carter was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Yellowknife Dragonblood, 7-3. Carter, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 2 walks. The Chiefs, now 12-4, have been on a roll in the early going.
Early in the game, first baseman Héctor Amaya had a 2-run single for Connetquot. It was his 18th hit of the season and put the Chiefs on top, 2-0.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Amaya. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
