Rodgers Helps Dodgers Run Win Streak to 3
|
The Brooklyn Dodgers beat the Boston Patriots, 6-4, at Dunkin Donuts Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Adrian Rodgers, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4-5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Addie Samson was the winning pitcher. Over 5 innings, he allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Brooklyn has now won 3 straight, while the Patriots have lost 3 in a row.
Rodgers had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the third inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Dodgers went on to win.
Rodgers told a Brooklyn Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
