Bulls Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Expos
|
The Bulls faced a stiff challenge from Niagara Falls pitcher Roger Rodenburg, but persevered to claim a win at Waterfall Park. The final score was 4-1. Rodenburg went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run. Martín García earned the save for Belleville, his 6th of the year. Belleville has now won 3 straight, while the Expos have lost 6 in a row.
The Bulls got a big at-bat from designated hitter Silvian Burger. For the game, Burger was 2-5 with a double. In the top of the eighth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 42nd hit of the season gave Belleville a 2-1 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Burger said after the game.
