Thunder Hawks Fall Short, 4-3, at Lancaster
|
Behind a solid performance from right fielder Bobson Dugnutt, the Lancaster Farmers defeated the Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks, 4-3. Dugnutt was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Farmers. Santiago Pérez was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. Lancaster, at 35-26, occupies third place in the Menard's AA.
The Farmers got a big at-bat from catcher Tullu Amaad. For the game, Amaad went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 50th hit of the season gave Lancaster a 1-0 lead.
"This was a good win," said Amaad.
