BC Come Up Short at Billings
|
The Billings Polar Bears relied on the hitting of center fielder Calvin Shreve to stop the San Antonio BC, 6-5. For the game, Shreve went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. José Tovar recorded his 1st save for Billings. The win takes Billings to 6-4.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the seventh inning. Facing San Antonio hurler Evan Roy, José Cruz drew a walk. The Polar Bears went on to win.
"Enjoyed this one," Cruz told the Billings Bulletin. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
