Targaryens Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Halberds
|
Starting pitcher Emershan Naidoo pitched well enough to help the Royse City Targaryens beat the Alloway Halberds by the score of 7-5. Royse City reliever Manuel Torres was credited with the win, to go to 3-4. Pat McCormick took the loss for Alloway. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Targaryens.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when catcher Miguel Herrera, who is tied for 8th in the SAAA with a .843 OPS, hit a single. The Targaryens went on to win.
"We're all smiles after that win," Naidoo told the Royse City Gazette.
