Fighting Dachsunds Sneak Past Halberds, 6-5
|
A 3-RBI performance from center fielder Locke Lamora, who is rated as the 81st best prospect by BNN, led the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds to a 6-5 win over the Alloway Halberds. Ellenburg improves to 59-37 with the win. They lead their division by 5˝ games.
Lamora had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 fastball from Pat McCormick, he banged a 2-run single to center, giving the Fighting Dachsunds a 6-5 lead. It was the 58th hit of the year for Lamora.
"It was a solid team effort," said Lamora after the game.
