Fighting Dachsunds Solve Disaster, 5-4
|
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds turned back the Port Royal Disaster, 5-4, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. José Vázquez was named player of the game for his fine performance. He went 2-2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Fighting Dachsunds have an impressive 58-35 record.
Vázquez contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Ellenburg in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 2-1, Vázquez took a sinker from Masaharu Sakata and stroked the double to center. His 5th double of the season allowed the Fighting Dachsunds to leap in front, 3-2.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Vázquez said.
