Sachs Delivers Walk-Off Win for Supernovas
|
Athletic Club KC pitcher Ismael Calderón gave the Supernovas all they could handle, but in the end, Scranton left Nuclear Stadium with a 4-2 win. Calderón allowed no earned runs on 1 hit over 6.1 innings. Scranton reliever Victor Brey got the win, raising his record to 3-2. António Hernández was tagged with the loss. Scranton occupies 7th place in the Silver AAA at 36-41.
Scranton won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and António Hernández on the mound for Athletic Club KC, first baseman Eddie Sachs hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Supernovas fans to their feet.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Sachs said after the game.
