Disaster Stymie Scranton, Take 3-1 Win
|
The Port Royal Disaster and Scranton Supernovas played a tight game at Ballpark of Port Royal, with the hosts claiming the hard-fought win.
The Port Royal Disaster went home winners at Ballpark of Port Royal, thanks in large part to starter Jerry Kumpf. Kumpf silenced the Scranton Supernovas, enabling Port Royal to grab the 3-1 win. In 8 innings, Kumpf surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run. Jon King was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 19 of 20 save opportunities.
