Late Rally by Halberds Secures Win
The Port Royal Disaster got a superb performance from shortstop Jesús Ruano. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Alloway. The Halberds won the game, 7-6. In spite of the loss, Ruano was named the player of the game. He went 2-3 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. Alloway reliever José Caballero got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Jorge Travieso was tagged with the loss. Alloway now owns a record of 31-35.

Tom Boyer was the walk-off hero for Alloway. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Halberds third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Boyer.
