The Alloway Halberds did just enough to sneak past the Tremont Doubledays, 10-9, at Ballpark of Alloway. Alloway catcher Scott Donlan earned player of the game honors. Alloway reliever Pat McCormick got the win, raising his record to 6-3. Alonso Martínez was tagged with the loss. Alloway is now 27-28.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With two out, Donlan hit a fastball from Alonso Martínez for a run-scoring single. The Halberds, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"Put a star next to this win," Donlan said.
