Herons Need Extra Frames to Get Past Sixshooters
|
Westwood pitcher Ray Mangas gave the Herons all they could handle, but in the end, Glendale left Sixshooters Stadium with a 3-2 win. Mangas allowed 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 5 innings. Glendale reliever Juan Sánchez was the winner. His record is now 3-4. Christian Clayton took the loss. Glendale, at 51-50, occupies 6th place in the Silver AA.
Jin-song Seah made it 3-2, Glendale, in the top of the 12th when he grounded out, driving in 1 run. It was a big at-bat in the Herons win.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Westwood manager Greg Keys. "But we decided not to take it."
