Timber Hawks Bang Out 7-2 Win Versus Pennsauken
|
The Augusta Timber Hawks stymied the Pennsauken Flyers, 7-2, at Timber Hawks Ballpark. Yun-qi Chien, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 1-2 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Augusta. Andrew Holloway got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 2 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. The Timber Hawks now have a mark of 24-21.
Komotay Koffie tagged a home run off Ron Stone in the bottom of the fourth. His 2-run blast put the Timber Hawks on top, 2-1. In all, Koffie had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
