Coyotes Get One-Run Win at Florida
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Hamilton Coyotes eventually prevailed at Psychos Ballpark.
The Hamilton Coyotes defeated the Florida Men, 3-2, in M3L Triple A action at Psychos Ballpark, with Hamilton pitcher Jesús Garces named player of the game. José Sipe closed the game out for Hamilton, earning his 1st save.
Mike Gardner had a clutch at-bat with one out in the top of the seventh for the Coyotes. Coming up with a runner on 1st and Hamilton trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run home run.
Garces told a Hamilton Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
Even with the win, the Coyotes have a dismal 14-31 record.
