Great Lakers Prevail, 4-3, Over Brinkley
|
The Pure Michigan Great Lakers topped the Brinkley Belugas, 4-3, in M3L Triple A action at Belugas Ballpark. The player of the game was Pure Michigan pitcher and Pico Rivera, California native Alberto Bahe. Bahe, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 1 walk. Andrei-Luiz Frial got credit for the save for Pure Michigan. It was his 4th of the year.
Pure Michigan designated hitter Josh Platt helped the Great Lakers go up, 3-1, in the top of the fifth inning. With the game tied, Platt hit a 2-run single off Brinkley pitcher Rodney Spurr.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Platt.
The defending champion Great Lakers have struggled a bit to find their groove this season, but improve to 5-6 with the win.
