Gómez Throws 3-Hitter En Route to 4-2 Rainbow Mermaids Win
The Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids got a strong performance from pitcher Raúl Gómez, who stymied the Boston offense en route to a 4-2 win at Atlantica. The Rainbow Mermaids bumped their record to 17-10 with this latest triumph.

Gómez was in the zone all game. He frustrated Boston hitters while giving the Rainbow Mermaids 9 innings of quality work. Gómez threw 101 pitches, allowing 3 hits and getting 8 punchouts.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Gómez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
