Season Ends for Stephen Chávez of Springfield Saturday, July 27th, 2030 The season is ending on a bad note for Stephen Chávez, center fielder for the Springfield Shooters. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Chávez was hurt against the Westwood Sixshooters while running the bases. He suffered a ruptured achilles tendon and will be out for at least 9 months. This year Chávez has collected a .208 batting average to date with 37 hits in 178 at-bats, 15 RBIs, 3 home runs and scored 19 times. He has played in 54 games. |
