Núñez and de Valk Brawl, League Suspends Them Tuesday, July 9th, 2030 After an intense confrontation, both the Farmers Manuel Núñez and the Rapiers Lance de Valk were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Lancaster-Durham game. Both players will miss 3 games as a result of their actions. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Manuel Núñez commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." Núñez is hitting .264 this year with 3 home runs and 18 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .370, 13 walks and scored 13 times.
