Karpinen Wins 3AA Player of the Week Prize Monday, July 29th, 2030 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the M3L Double A, but last week Iikka Karpinen of the Virginia Beach Deuces reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Karpinen rocked opposing pitching for a .471 average (8-for-17), 2 home runs and 5 RBIs to come away with the award. This season Karpinen is swinging the bat at a .265 rate with 54 hits in 204 at-bats. To date he has hit 2 home runs, scored 27 runs and driven in 19. |
