Vermont No Match for Ohayashi Friday, July 26th, 2030 Tremont Doubledays fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Taro Ohayashi blanked the Vermont Lake Monsters, 2-0 at Monster Field today. Ohayashi stopped them on 4 hits while walking 2 and striking out 3. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Doubledays skipper Lendon Tipton said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Ohayashi has made 8 starts, tossed 52.1 innings, struck out 32 batters and walked 24. His record is 3-4 with a 4.64 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .278 batting average.
