3AAA Player of the Week, Chávez of Augusta Monday, August 19th, 2030 So far in his young career, Juan Chávez has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the M3L Triple A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 24-year-old Augusta Timber Hawks first baseman hit at a torrid .562 clip as he collected 9 hits in 16 at-bats, 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored. This year Chávez has hit at a .242 clip with 45 RBIs, 6 home runs and 36 runs scored. |
