Season Ends for Gabriel Herrera of Chicago

The season is ending on a bad note for Gabriel Herrera, starting pitcher for the Chicago Hawks. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Herrera was hurt against the Greenville 84s while throwing a pitch. He suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and will be out for at least 14 months.

So far this year Herrera has made 12 starts, tossed 67.2 innings, struck out 61 batters and walked 34. His record is 2-4 with a 3.06 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .218 batting average.
