J.J. Spencer Out for Season
Sunday, September 1st, 2030
A blow for J.J. Spencer today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 10 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Spencer suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the New Amsterdam Dutchmen are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Spencer's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.

So far this year Spencer has made 7 starts, tossed 33.1 innings, struck out 21 batters and walked 27. His record is 0-4 with a 6.75 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .302 batting average.
