Rick Mayfield Out for 9-10 Months Thursday, October 3rd, 2030 A blow for Rick Mayfield today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 9-10 months with a concussion. Mayfield suffered the injury making a defensive play. Although officials from the Ft. Worth Cattlemen are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Mayfield's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. Mayfield is hitting .279 this year with 20 home runs and 63 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .373, 50 walks and scored 63 times. |
