Blaze, Mahle Blank Phoenix Friday, September 6th, 2030 The South Beach Blaze did little to support starter Shaun Mahle against the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Hotspur U-21, striking out 10 and surrendering 2 hits. The performance from Mahle allowed South Beach to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'Shaun, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Mahle told BNN reporters following the win.
