River Rats Chill Yandell's Hot Streak
Saturday, August 24th, 2030
It was the best of both worlds for the Columbia River Rats today at Columbia Stadium as they defeated the Washington Generals 11-10 and also snapped Daryl Yandell's 22-game hitting streak. The 21-year-old Washington catcher failed to get a hit in 3 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Yandell, we just wanted to win the game," said River Rats skipper . "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Yandell frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

Yandell is hitting .336 this year with 13 home runs and 50 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .408, 35 walks and scored 42 times.
