Athletic Club KC Lose to Middies, 3-0
|
Pitcher Luis Torres was sensational for the Grafton Middies in his team's 3-0 triumph over the Athletic Club KC. Torres received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. In 6.1 innings, Torres surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. Dylan Silva earned the save, his 2nd.
Early in the game, left fielder Phil MacNamara had a 2-run home run for Grafton. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Middies on top, 2-0.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," MacNamara told the Grafton Herald.
Grafton, at 33-24, sits in second place in the Silver League.
