Samurakami Rips Thunder Bay for 5 Hits
Yoshihito Samurakami put on a hitting clinic today as the Echo Park Lakers dumped the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC 9-8 at Great Northern Field.

The Echo Park catcher made Thunder Bay defenders earn their pay, lashing Thunder Bay pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Samurakami said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Yoshihito Samurakami singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
