Late Rally by Dutchmen Secures Win
|
The Dutchmen faced a stiff challenge from Portland pitcher George Eisenhauer, but persevered to claim a win at Dutch Master Park. The final score was 4-3. Eisenhauer went 7.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. At 22-22, New Amsterdam is in 6th place in the Silver League.
Félix López was the walk-off hero for New Amsterdam. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Dutchmen catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"It feels good to get that win," said López. "Now it's on to the next one."
