The Philadelphia 1776 BC moved to within one game of the Round 2032 today, downing the visiting Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Ben Franklin Memorial Coliseum by a score of 6-2. BC right-hander Elroy Thompkins was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 8 innings of 7-hit ball. The win gives the BC a - advantage in the best-of- Round 2031.

Philadelphia 1776 took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, right fielder Cliff Aldridge hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
