The South Beach Blaze moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Washington Generals on the road at Washington Park by a score of 5-4. Blaze right-hander Harrison Tuff was named player of the game after a strong outing in which he threw 9 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Blaze a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-5 PL A Championship.

Greg Schiff, who was drafted in the three round of the 2027 draft, aided the South Beach cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the third. For the game, the shortstop went 1-3.

"We found a way to get it done," Tuff said.
