The New Amsterdam Dutchmen moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Richardson City Thundercats at Dutch Master Park by a score of 16-3. Dutchmen catcher Félix López was named player of the game after he was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The win gives the Dutchmen a - advantage in the best-of- Silver League Championship.

Otis Brewer, who was drafted in the two round of the 2024 draft, helped out the New Amsterdam cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a bases-clearing triple. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 5 with a triple and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

López called the game "anything but a nail-biter."
