Express Hammered by Martínez, Fall Further Behind in R1
|
Richardson City designated hitter Tomás Martínez was the key at Platform 9 3/4 today, being named player of the game as he powered the Thundercats to victory in a critical Game of the Round 1. The Thundercats took the 6-4 win over the Wizarding Express to seize a - lead in the best-of- series.
Martínez had a game-changing at-bat for Richardson City. It came in the top of the ninth inning with two out. Martínez hit a first pitch fastball from Dorian Daly for a grand slam home run. It put Richardson City in front, 6-4.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Martínez told a Richardson City Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
