Choquette Sensational for Black Cats
|
Pitcher Rich Choquette was sensational for the Gwinnett County Black Cats in his team's 1-0 triumph over the South Beach Blaze. Choquette received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Nicolas Michel converted his 10th save in 10 tries. Gwinnett County occupies 4th place in the Premier A at 50-39.
The Blaze had little chance against Choquette, who overpowered South Beach hitters and struck out 11.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Choquette, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
