Generals Top Herons Behind Carbajal, 2-1

Fans who came to The Heron Refuge watched the Washington Generals and the Hammond Herons fight to the finish.
The Washington Generals went home winners at The Heron Refuge, thanks in large part to starter Juan Carbajal. Carbajal silenced the Hammond Herons, enabling Washington to grab the 2-1 win. The Herons, now 16-54, have lost 8 straight.
The Generals liked what they saw from Carbajal. The 20-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Herons to 1 earned run on 4 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 6.
"I like what I saw today," said Washington manager Jacob Curtis, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
