Win Streak Now at 6 for Blaze
|
The South Beach Blaze picked up a win at Ramblers Ballpark, knocking off the Chicago Tula, 4-2. Starting pitcher Satoshi Ono, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Ono, now 6-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 earned runs. Sima Babic sewed up the save, his 9th.
In the top of the third, Serious Lee hit a 2-run double for South Beach. The 13th double of the season for the South Beach center fielder put the Blaze on top, 2-1.
Lee called the win "a collective effort."
This win makes it 6 in a row for South Beach.
