The Idaho Falls Chukars topped the South Beach Blaze, 3-2, in USPL Single A action at The Ballpark on the Beach. The player of the game was Idaho Falls pitcher Tony Smehrik. The winning pitcher was Smehrik, now 3-2. He tossed 6 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 2. Idaho Falls is now 33-31.
Wulf Paauwe, who is tied for 2nd in the PA in hits with 77, helped out the Idaho Falls cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4 with a double.
