Gilberto Clemente put on a hitting clinic today as the Yellowknife Dragonblood dumped the Gwinnett County Black Cats 5-3 at Pipers Ballpark.

The Yellowknife catcher made Gwinnett County defenders earn their pay, lashing Gwinnett County pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Clemente said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Gilberto Clemente singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Francisco Medrano in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
