Vivek on Fire, Strikes out 17 Herons
|
Jaganmani Vivek of the South Beach Blaze put on a pitching clinic today at The Ballpark on the Beach as he struck out 17 Hammond Herons in a 2-1 victory. Vivek, who is rated as the 24th best prospect by BNN, was simply magnificent as he held the Herons to 4 hits. He walked 0.
"I felt okay at the beginning," Vivek said, "but eventually my splitter really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game."
When asked about Vivek's performance, Blaze manager Pedro Ritodíaz shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was pretty good out there today. He was dominating."
