Great Day for Altamiraño in Expos Win
The Niagara Falls Expos topped the Syracuse Storm, 5-3, in USSL Single A action at Storm Park. The player of the game was Niagara Falls second baseman Domingo Altamiraño. Derek Patton was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. Pat Clement, credited with the save, is now 20 for 21 in save opportunities.

Altamiraño had a game-changing double in the top of the eighth. On a first pitch changeup from Onson Sweemey, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Expos a 5-3 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Altamiraño.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Altamiraño told the Niagara Falls News.
