Juan Perales put on a hitting clinic today as the Syracuse Storm dumped the Hogsmeade Cauldrons 10-0 at Gators Ballpark.

The Syracuse shortstop made Hogsmeade defenders earn their pay, lashing Hogsmeade pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Perales said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Juan Perales singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

Perales is hitting .295 this year with no home runs and 17 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .355, 16 walks and scored 27 times.
