The Syracuse Storm did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Delaware 1787 BC at Storm Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris Donahue, who captured player of the game honors. Syracuse reliever Manuel Montero was the winner. His record is now 4-1. Juan Ramírez took the loss. Syracuse, at 35-36, sits in 4th place in the Silver A.
Syracuse won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and Juan Ramírez on the mound for Delaware, center fielder António Escobeda hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Storm fans to their feet.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Escobeda.
