Justin Flynn pitched well, but his team, the Bellevue Bruins, still dropped a 1-0 decision to the Delaware 1787 BC at Bellevue Field. NaNomi Lojore picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-1. He struck out 4 in 7 innings. Earning his 1st save of the year was Jay Mahabir.
In the top of the second, Hai-feng Tang hit a run-scoring single for Delaware. The 55th hit of the season for the Delaware shortstop put the 1787 BC on top, 1-0.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Delaware manager Manuel Hernández said.
The 1787 BC improve their record to 29-24 with the win over Bellevue.
