Ed Molloy of the Connetquot Chiefs spun his magic on the Grim Reapers today. He blanked them 7-0 on 4 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.

"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Molloy said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."

Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Connetquot skipper Don Nelson said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."

"Ed pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
