The Louisiana Dragoons and Nebraska Plainsmen put on a pitchers' duel at Plain Old Stadium.
Liam Thomson pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Nebraska Plainsmen, despite Thomson's fine outing, dropped a 2-1 decision to the Louisiana Dragoons at Plain Old Stadium. Stanley Bruner picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-1. He struck out 6 in 6.2 innings. José Ledezma picked up the save for Louisiana, his 8th of the year.
Ken Gill was one of the major contributors to the win for Louisiana. The light-hitting left fielder stroked a single to left in the top of the third inning. For the day, he was 1-4.
"I was a little disappointed," said Nebraska manager . "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Louisiana occupies first place in the Menard's A at 17-7.
