Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Chesapeake Continentals got the win.

The Chesapeake Continentals got a strong performance from pitcher David Gómez, who stymied the Richland offense en route to a 4-2 win at Chesapeake Grounds. Jason Martin got the save, his 3rd in 3 chances.

The Continentals got a big at-bat from second baseman Holden Nolan. For the game, Nolan was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 100th hit of the season gave Chesapeake a 3-2 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Nolan told reporters after the game.

Chesapeake now has a 3-game win streak.
