Myrtle Beach Mermen starter Gregory Bahena was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Richland Rails, 5-4. Myrtle Beach reliever Júlio Maes was the winner. His record is now 5-3. The losing pitcher was Matko Perisc. With the win, Myrtle Beach goes to 48-50, while the Rails fall to 39-59.

Shigenobu Ohayashi was the walk-off hero for Myrtle Beach. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Mermen center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring triple to send the teams home.
